Talitha Kum South East Asia held its Annual Regional Conference in Vietnam from 27th. Nov, to 2nd. Dec. 2015. It’s theme was “End Trafficking Now”   The countries represented were Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, S. Korea, Indonesia, East Timor and Philippines.  The process followed the SEE,  JUDGE,  ACT outline.

“Supporting life, protecting creation, concern for nature are incompatible with failure to protect vulnerable human beings, such as the unborn children, people with disabilities or victims of human trafficking”

This quote from Laudato Si helped participants to focus their reflection as they received 30 minute country reports from the participating countries.  Sr. Gabriella Bottani, Talitha Kum Co-ordinator Rome gave input via Skype on 30th, Nov. ( at 10 a.m. Italian time).

Group discussions and personal reflection facilitated the process of Judging while a further quote from Laudato Si, “Injustice is not invincible” gave impetus to the crafting of their Convention Statement and the methods for its implementation. 

At the conclusion of the Conference the New Animator for Talitha Kum East Asia was elected the host for the next conference was decided.
