On November 25, 2024, we honor the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and  the third anniversary of Talitha Kum’s Call to Action, which unites religious Sisters, global governance stakeholders, and all those who share our vision of a world free from human trafficking and exploitation. Through a global network of solidarity and action, we promote a world where every human being can live in dignity. 

The Call to Action draws upon the grassroots work of Talitha Kum networks and embodies four main objectives: 

• to care for victims of human trafficking and exploitation, and for people at risk; 
• to heal physical, psychosocial, and spiritual wounds; 
• to empower victims and survivors, as well as individuals at risk, by amplifying their voices; 
• and restore human dignity by promoting access to justice. 

This year, we invite you to join us in our advocacy campaign on Facebook and Instagram to bring greater awareness to the issues at hand. The campaign kicked off with a short video from one of our passionate Talitha Kum Young Ambassadors, introducing the Call to Action and its four objectives (care, heal, empower, restore).

In the coming days, we will share a series of videos from our networks in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America, showcasing how the Call to Action is practically being implemented at the grassroot level through their work on advocacy, prevention and awareness, networking, and the protection of victims and survivors. 

As we reflect on the progress achieved and listen to the voices of our networks, let us reaffirm our commitment to fight trafficking by amplifying advocacy, deepening awareness, and taking bold action to create lasting change.
